Celebrated as one of Staffordshire’s finest boarding kennels, set in over 100 acres, Holme From Home is a family run establishment with over 30 years experience.
Having grown up with dogs throughout our lives, we understand that they are a huge part of the family and treat our guests as if they were our own. They have lots of walks in our fully enclosed fields and plenty of love, cuddles and care.
As a family we are dedicated to our guests during their time with us, providing everything they need for an enjoyable stay and holiday at Holme From Home.
Accommodation
Our accommodation is all within luxury purpose built, fully insulated buildings. Each has it’s own large indoor run and tiled bedroom area. Many have beautiful views across the fields.
We have a number of extra large kennels to accommodate bigger families.
Our smaller guests are accommodated in a building with other little dogs, and our larger guests are with others of a similar size. This ensures that they are exercised and socialised in the best possible way.
Our guests receive the best of everything during their stay. Throughout the winter months the whole building is fully heated by circulated hot air making them very cosy. During the warmer months we open up the patio doors bringing the outside in.
Exercise and Play
We are located in the heart of Staffordshire’s beautiful countryside with fantastic outdoor facilities. One of our main assets is being able to walk your dog off a lead in one of 3 large securely fenced paddocks. As part of our daily routine, we exercise our guests at least twice a day with or without the company of other dogs as requested.
Vaccinations and Kennel Cough Vaccine
All dogs must have an up to date vaccination certificate or proof of vaccinations, which must be presented upon arrival.
Dogs must also be up do date with the KENNEL COUGH VACCINE, which must be administered at least 14 days prior to their arrival at Holme from Home. This isn’t routinely given to dogs without requesting your vet to do so, so please get it done before their stay.
Diet and Nutrition
We know from experience that continuity of your dogs feeding regime is paramount to their health. We therefore recommend that you bring your dogs normal food and provide us with their feeding instructions. Fridges and freezers are available to accommodate dogs with raw diets and fussy eaters.
Medication
We administer medication free of charge and require clear instructions to be provided with this. If there are multiple tablets to be administered twice daily please could you provide these in a pill box, or something similar, along with their usual tasty treat to pop them in to.
'Holme' comforts
Our four-legged guests are made very comfortable using our own beds and bedding, however if you wish to provide them with their own beds or bedding from home then this is most welcome. Toys or additional items that you think will help to settle them in can also accompany them. During the day the radio is left on for your dog to tune in to!
Bath, Brush and Blow dry
Our bath, brush and blow dry service is a perfect treat for your dog at the end of their stay with us. We ensure that every care is given so that your dog has a positive grooming experience. We use the finest quality shampoos and also cater for dogs with sensitive skin. Your dog will be thoroughly brushed and dried off, leaving them feeling refreshed and smelling beautiful. At a small additional cost we can also trim their nails.
Hydrotherapy session during their stay
If you would like your dog to have a hydrotherapy swim during their holiday with us, whether it be for fun or to help with an ailment then please let us know when you make your kennel booking. Security
The safety and security of dogs during their stay at Holme from Home is of the upmost importance. We have a state of the art security camera and laser system installed and a member of staff is onsite 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
